Continuum reprises works premiered at our February concert at Montréal/Nouvelles Musiques 2011. Highlighting the idea of dancing in the mind, four Canadian composers each contribute a movement to a larger work, all based on the French baroque dance suite. Also featured are solo and duo expressions of the impulse to move, and the Canadian premiere of Marc Sabat’s John Jenkins, a work inspired by the prolific 17th century English composer of dance music.
