Continuum Contemporary Music announces the launch of its third full-length CD, Raw, featuring chamber works ranging from duo to sextet by acclaimed Canadian composer James Rolfe. Released on Centrediscs, the recording label of the Canadian Music Centre, Raw is a record of the composer’s chamber work – his aesthetic preoccupations and development – over a 15-year period. It is performed by Continuum’s ensemble: Anne Thompson (flute), Max Christie (clarinet), Carol Lynn Fujino (violin), Paul Widner (cello), Laurent Philippe (piano) and Ryan Scott (percussion) with Gregory Oh conducting and special guests Carla Huhtanen (soprano) and Angela Rudden (viola).
